Attention All Parents of Sunday School Students
There is an adult Sunday School Class that has been meeting in the fellowship hall area on Sunday’s.
You are invited to join this group as they discuss current topics and hold basic bible study
class. This is a great way to meet other members of the church and grow in faith. Please consider
joining the group.

in Sunday
School?
A BIG thank you to everyone who helped with the Christmas program, kids that took part in it,
backstage hands, behind the scenes crew, musical presentations by several children, comforting
words of encouragement from so many, and a huge thank you to Bonnie Barko for writing the play,
her wonderful ideas, patience with me (Sue), and for directing so many different aspects of the
play. Thank you to Patty Paisley for the great job of organizing the reception after wards and all
of the people that helped her out. BIG pats on the backs to all--well done "my good and faithful
servants"!!!! Anyone interested in directing the play next year you are hired--just see Sue
Schmidt for your hug!!! The feedback from the congregation has been wonderful, it was a true
miracle with the weather and all. What a joy to work with each and everyone of you--no matter
how BIG or small your role was!!!
As we start back into a more normal pace at Sunday School time, we are excited to have a few new
teachers on board and some familiar faces as well. We will kick off 2008 with a BIG carnival in
the fellowship hall for all ages with games, prizes, and even some snacks on January 6Th.
I look forward to seeing everyone for another great time in Sunday School!! Remember the prize
closet for good attendance will be opened up again on February 24, 2008 for all those who faithfully
make it to Sunday School. Let's keep coming not only for the prizes but for your own personal
journey of faith and fellowship too.
I have been especially excited to hear all the positive feedback from the 7Th and 8Th graders
and their parents about how much they enjoy coming to Sunday School and hanging out with their
friends. The energy from this group has been a real blessing. I was so proud of all of you that
took part in the Christmas program, you touched people by seeing you up front--that sends a positive
message about your faith and commitment to Zion. The "senior citizens" were also a great
conversation piece. I have really enjoyed getting to know you guys on a more personal level, even
though my language is not up to date and my music selections may not be in tune with yours it has
been a rocking good time!!!
I look forward to a great 2008 with everyone and many positive blessings! Keep your eyes open
for the next Family Outing in February--I am open to suggestions?!?
